About Simone
I’m a film director and producer. I was raised in the province of Turin, Italy. I spent most of my childhood in the small village of Arignano, surrounded by nature which became my source of inspiration for most film projects I made from the age of just 10. My passion has always been telling stories through motion pictures. I experimented through the viewfinder of my father’s old VHS camera. My siblings were the actors, and my house and backyard were the settings. Shortly after, I moved to Dublin, Ireland where I carried on my studies in film and television production at the National Film School. During the years I had the chance of being trained not just from a theoretical and practical point of view of film and TV production, but also from a personal one. I graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in Film & TV Production, with a major in Fiction Directing, with a First Class Honours result.

With my film Follow (2018), I won the second-place award for the Best Science Fiction at the Down East Flick Fest in North Carolina in 2020. Follow (2018) was also selected as a finalist at the Carnival of Darkness: The Haunted Pamlico Film Festival in North Carolina (2020) and at Los Angeles CineFest, California (2018). It was also awarded the semi-finalist place at the Lisbon Film Rendezvous in Portugal in 2019.
